Late Goal Gains Home Draw For Timbers With Loons

 At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon

Omir Fernandez's equalizing goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday in Major League Soccer action.


Anthony Markanich scored for the Loons in the 78th minute.


The Timbers, who celebrated their 50 years of existence, will visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Friday at 7:30 PM.


The Timbers find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference of MLS.
