Thorns Blank Wave At Home

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon:   Marie Muller (10') and Sophie Miller (64') each scored once on Wednesday as the Portland Thorns blanked the visiting San Diego Wave 2-0 in NWSL action. Next up for the Thorns, a Sunday road clash with the Chicago Stars (10:00 AM PDT, ESPN/ESPN Unlimited).

Thorns Defeat Angel City On Road

  At BMO Stadium, Los Angeles: Pietra Tordin (76') and Sophie Wilson (90'+5, her first game back from maternity leave) each scored once as the Portland Thorns knocked off Angel City 2-1 on the road. Next up for the Thorns, at home match with the San Diego Wave, this coming Wednesday at 7:00 PM PDT (CBS Sports Network).

Timbers Post Thrilling Road Victory At San Diego

  At Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, California: Kevin Kelsey (26') and Alex Bonetig (90'+6) provided the scoring as the Portland Timbers picked up their first Major League Soccer road victory of the season while defeating slumping San Diego FC 2-1. Anders Dryer scored the lone San Diego goal in the 33rd minute. The Timbers will try to keep their new-found momentum going as they will visit Real Salt Lake this coming Saturday at 1:30 PM PST (Apple TV, FOX network/KSRX Radio 105.1 FM)

Timbers Fall On Road To Loons

  At Allianz Field, St. Paul, Minnesota: Tomas Chancalay (16') and Kelvin Yeboah (60') each scored once as Minnesota United blanked the visiting Portland Timbers 2-0 in Saturday Major League Soccer action. Goalkeeper Drake Callender came up with a shutout for the Loons. As for the Timbers, their next MLS match is next Saturday as they visit San Diego FC at 6:30 PM PDT (Apple TV/KRSK Radio 105.1 FM).

Timbers Score Late Goal To Upend LAFC

At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon:  Kevin Kelsy scored the winning goal in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time on Saturday as the Portland Timbers ended a five-game winless streak in Major League Soccer action by knocking off the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Football Club 2-1.   Kristoffer Velde also scored for Portland in the 32nd minute.   Jude Terry scored for the Angelinos in the 49th minute.  Next up for the Timbers, a road match with Minnesota United at Allianz Field in St. Paul next Saturday at 5:30 PM Pacific Time on Apple TV (also on radio on KSRX Radio, 105.1 FM).

Timbers Blow Halftime Lead, Fall On Road To Whitecaps

At BC Place, Vancouver, British Columbia:  Thomas Muller (PK, 90'+1) and Sebastian Berhalter (90'+5) each scored a goal in second-half stoppage time on Saturday as the Vancouver Whitecaps came from behind to knock off the visiting Portland Timers 3-2 in MLS---and Cascadia Cup---action.   Edier Ocampo (6') also scored for the Caps.  Juan Mosquera (45'+2) and David De Costa (45'+2) each tallied once for the Timbers, whose winless streak has stretched to five games.    Portland's next league match is coming up this Saturday (April 11) at home at Providence Park against the powerful Los Angeles Football Club (1:30 PM PDT, Apple TV/FOX Network/KRSK Radio 105.1 FM).  

Thornes Gain Road Draw With Courage

  At First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, Cary, North Carolina: Reilyn Turner (12') and Olivia Moultrie (33') each scored once as the Portland Thorns gained a 2-2 Saturday draw on the road in NWSL action with the North Carolina Courage. Manaka Matsukubo (28') and Ashley Sanchez (37') each tallied once for the Courage. Next up for the Thorns will be a road match with Angel City at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 PM PDT (ESPN 2)
