Sophia Wilson scored the lone Portland goal in the 14th minute. The Thorns will play host to the Utah Royals this coming Saturday at 1:00 PM Pacific Time (ION TV). 

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon: Preston Judd scored twice (2', 12') and Daniel Munie once (24') as the San Jose Earthquakes outdistanced the Portland Timbers 3-1 on the road in Saturday Major League Soccer action. Antony scored the lone Portland goal at 18 minutes. This marked the first time in 16 years that the Quakes defeated the Timbers in the Rose City. The Timbers' next MLS match will come on Thursday, July 16 on the road against the Seattle Sounders in a Cascadia Cup contest at 7:30 PM Pacific Time (Apple TV/KSRX Radio 1080 AM, 105.1 FM).
