Ten-Man Timbers Gain Home Draw With Galaxy

At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon: 


The Portland Timbers battled the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-1 draw in Sunday Major League soccer action. 

Kristoffer Velde scored for the Timbers in the 13th minute, then the Galaxy's Joao Klauss equalized in the 30th minute.  

Portland's Kamal Miller was ejected in the 30th minute and the Timbers played the rest of the match with ten men.

The Timbers' next MLS match will take place at Vancouver's BC place on Saturday, April 4 when they meet the Vancouver Whitecaps in Cascadia Cup clash (Apple TV/KRSK Radio 105.1 The Fan) at 7:30 PM PDT.

Late Goal Gains Home Draw For Timbers With Loons

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon Omir Fernandez's equalizing goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday in Major League Soccer action. Anthony Markanich scored for the Loons in the 78th minute. The Timbers, who celebrated their 50 years of existence, will visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Friday at 7:30 PM. The Timbers find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference of MLS.
