San Diego Wave Too Much For Thorns In NWSL Action

At Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, California: 


In Wednesday NWSL action, Dudinha (2'), Lia Godfrey (27'), and Marlene Barcenas (82') each scored once to power the San Diego Wave past the visiting Portland Thorns 3-1.


Pietra Tordin scored the lone Thorns goal in the 8th minute.


The next match for Portland will take place this coming Saturday when they host the Kansas City Current at 1:00 PM Pacific Time on CBS and Paramount Plus.

Late Goal Gains Home Draw For Timbers With Loons

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon Omir Fernandez's equalizing goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday in Major League Soccer action. Anthony Markanich scored for the Loons in the 78th minute. The Timbers, who celebrated their 50 years of existence, will visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Friday at 7:30 PM. The Timbers find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference of MLS.
