Timbers Drop Tough One In Houston

Guilherme Santos (62'), Felipe Andrade (77'), and Mateusz Bogusz (90'+16) each scored once as the Houston Dynamo defeated the visiting Portland Timbers 3-2 in Saturday night Major League Soccer action.


Gage Guerra (45'+4) and Kristoffer Velde (79') provided the Timbers' goals.


Portland will try to snap their current three-game losing streak next Sunday as they host the Los Angeles Galaxy at 1:45 PM Pacific Time (Apple TV/FOX Network/KRST 105.1 FM, 1080 AM).

Late Goal Gains Home Draw For Timbers With Loons

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon Omir Fernandez's equalizing goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday in Major League Soccer action. Anthony Markanich scored for the Loons in the 78th minute. The Timbers, who celebrated their 50 years of existence, will visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Friday at 7:30 PM. The Timbers find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference of MLS.
