Timbers Gain Road Draw With Ex-Impact

Kevin Kelsy (21') and Cole Bassett (77') each scored once as the Portland Timbers came back from two one-goal deficits to gain a Wednesday 2-2 road draw with CF Montreal in Major League Soccer action.


Daniel Rios (11') and Winkelman Carmona (45') delivered the Montreal tallies.


The Timbers, riding a two-game unbeaten streak, will now try to contend with Lionel Messi and defending MLS champions Inter Miami on the road this coming Sunday at 3:00 PM Pacific Time (Apple TV/KRSK Radio, 105.1 FM).

  At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon Omir Fernandez's equalizing goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday in Major League Soccer action. Anthony Markanich scored for the Loons in the 78th minute. The Timbers, who celebrated their 50 years of existence, will visit the Los Angeles Football Club this coming Friday at 7:30 PM. The Timbers find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference of MLS.
